Team Overview

General
Thailand have competed at both editions of the Asian Games to feature cricket. They were denied a place in the semifinals at the 2010 Games in Guangzhou after losing to the People's Republic of China by just one run in a play-off match. The team had previously lost to Pakistan and beaten Malaysia in Group A. Four years later in Incheon, the Thais finished top of their group in the preliminary stage to set up a quarterfinal against Pakistan. Rain meant the match was reduced to 14 overs a side, and the Pakistanis won comfortably by 51 runs.

The Thai team made their debut at the Women's T20 World Cup in 2020 in Australia, where they finished bottom of Group B and did not progress to the knockout stage.

Thailand have competed at all four editions of the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup since 2012, and reached the semifinals for the first time in 2022. Although they began the tournament with two defeats, they recovered to win three of their remaining four round-robin matches and secure qualification for the last four. They were eliminated at the semifinal stage after a 74-run defeat to eventual champions India.

The team won gold at the first edition of the South East Asian Games to feature cricket in 2017, when they defeated Indonesia by 23 runs in the final in Malaysia.
