He has represented Singapore in judo and sambo wrestling. He won bronze medals in judo at the South East Asian Games in 2013 and 2015, and claimed bronze in the sambo wrestling team event at the 2019 South East Asian Games in the Philippines. He suffered a wrist injury prior to the 2021 South East Asian Games [which took place in May 2022]. He required three months of rehabilitation to treat the injury, and recovered in time to compete at the Games in Hanoi, Vietnam. (physiofocus, 25 May 2022)
