She got involved in Muay Thai before taking up boxing. "I started boxing for the first time as a Muay Thai fighter when I was 10 years old in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. I got my first fight at 11 years old and it was so exciting." (sanook, 01 Aug 2021; thephuketnews, 30 Jul 2021; stadiumth, 18 Jul 2021)

"I liked athletics [at school] because I was a fast runner. I just knew that we wouldn't have to wear school uniforms because when it came to school competitions, teachers would let us wear training attire to classes. I competed from school to provincial level. I won bronze medals in the 400m, 100m and 800m events, the highest I've ever won was a silver medal. At that time, I didn't like boxing at all. But then there was a coach, he lived close to our home and invited me to try it. My father liked to watch boxing, but he never expected us to become serious about it. He just wanted us to train hard enough, but if he knew that I liked it, he would fully support me. But I still practised boxing because I wanted to try something new, so I went to practice every day after school. I trained like that for about a year and then started competing for real."
