Pithak Tipjan and Poravid Taovato won Thailand's first medal in the men's competition at the Asian championships in 10 years when they claimed bronze at the 2023 edition in July in Fuzhou. They were unbeaten in the group stage before overcoming teams from New Zealand and the People's Republic of China on their way to a semifinal with Australia's Chris McHugh and Paul Burnett. After losing to the Australians, they recovered to beat Iranians Bahman Salemi and Sina Shekarsaraei in the bronze medal match.

The pair also helped Thailand win silver at the South East Asian Games in 2023 and 2022, competing alongside another Thai pairing on both occasions. Thailand lost out to Indonesia in the final in both 2023 and 2022.

Poravid and Pithak claimed their first World Beach Pro Tour title in December 2022 at the Futures event in Subic Bay, Philippines. They added another podium finish to start the 2023 season when they placed second at the Futures event in Coolangatta, QLD, Australia.
