Her father Pullela Gopichand has represented India in badminton, competing at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and triumphing at the 2001 All England Open in Birmingham. He has also served as head coach of the Indian badminton team and founded the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, India. Her mother PVV Lakshmi has represented India in badminton, and participated at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Her younger brother Sai Vishnu Pullela has competed in the sport at international level, including the 2022 Odisha Open in Cuttack, India.
