She began competing in high jump at secondary school before taking up the 400m in her first year at university. She started competing in distance running in 2017. (sportplus, 12 May 2015)

She followed her two older sisters into the sport. "I absolutely love being active and expending the energy I had when I was younger. She has studied for a master's degree in law at the University of Melbourne in Australia. She has also studied for a PhD in law at the same institution, and attended the University of Zurich in Switzerland as a visiting PhD student. Her focus is on international sports law and governance.
